Dr. Russwurm is founder and CEO of SIRS-Lab. He studied Medicine in Leipzig, Erfurt, and Jena with a doctorate in Molecular Medicine/ Atherosclerosis. In 1994, Dr. Russwurm entered a residency program with a special focus on Critical Care and Anaesthesiology at the University of Jena. After gaining his specialist title in Anaesthesiology, he was appointed as Senior Physician and Head of the Experimental Anaesthesiology Department. In 2004, he finished his habilitation. Dr. Russwurm is author on over 20 publications in molecular medicine and sepsis diagnostics. He is also inventor in over 50 patents in the field of sepsis.
